Christmas spirit

Christmas spirit is alive here, despite a nasty stomach virus. 

On our tree is the spirit of my "someday".

With everything going on, home for the holidays never sounded so good...

Sigh.

Christmas was amazing.
I was literally catered to after working an 18 hour shift the night before. Got to see my family, got overloaded with amazing gifts, and got to see my little love open her presents. This year was fun.
So magical.
We spent the following few days relaxing, loving and playing with all our new toys.

There's only 3 more sleeps til Christmas!
We are enjoying this holiday season with lots of spontaneous caroling, snuggly Christmas movies every night, plenty of Santa trips and as much love as feasibly possible.
It's been a hard Christmas season this year, but me and my girl are making the best of what we've got, livin' and lovin'.

Winter is peeking...

Winter is right around the corner.
Up in these parts, Christmas music has been playing on our radio since the first snowfall on halloween.
Our tree was cut from a friendly little farm, dragged across the frozen ground, and decorated so sweetly.
We have started our nightly holiday movie and snuggles in the chilly air.
Winter hats and boots have been warming our heads, mittens are already stashed in our chilly car, and salt has been bought for the driveway.
Christmas cards are ordered.
Shopping has begin.
Winter crafts have been started.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Hold me closer, tiny dancer....

The girl had her first ballet recital mid december. She was *that* kid....the one who forgot where she was supposed to stand, and was too busy looking at all the other little girls to remember her routine, and then went the wrong way off the stage at the end. But not before her ah-mazing "ta da!!!!" moment that I managed to snap...she was the cutest one there. I mean, I might be bias...but man....I had my proud mommy-moment that night!

TA DA!!!! :) I'm pretty sure life doesn't get any better than this! <3

Christmas is coming.....and we are a'lovin'.

What do you get when you pair $1 leggings from target with some froggy boots and the cutest cloth diaper ever?

This is what....

Some of you may think it's cruel to dress your toddler up like an elf...but man.....she is so delicious! How can I not? besides....she had more fun than I did. :)

I know I haven't posted in forever. But life is sad here in my little gingerbread house. And I have been trying to be the very best mommy that I know how to be.

And that requires $1 target leggings. and froggy boots. and silly photo shoots. and gingerbread cookies while cozying up under our favorite blanket watching Elmo's Happy Holidays video. Over and over. And over.

When I'm with my littlest elf, things here aren't so sad. And everything is merry and bright.

So Merry Christmas....

Enjoy your holidays, whatever it may be, with full bellies and new memories. Lots of love, overflowing hearts, and laughter. I know we will.
