MV4

She passed out after her first day at the beach.... she has never slept better than after a day full of swimming!

mv 5

Evenings brought us sunset dinners al fresco....good food, good family...good lighting... :)

mv 6

Family portraits in a sculpture garden. :)

A beachside bike ride did not make for a happy camper...but it was a great time for mom and dad!

MV 7

Lunch at a little cafe...

And an afternoon at the carousel, where it was 1000000 degrees, and avonlea, although unsure and overtired, rocked out those horses!

MV 8

Sandy times at State Beach...

Even Avonlea was desperate for cell service. ;) (i was attempting my manual settings on my camera....)
Amazing jam that we gt at the Tisbury farmers market...mmmm...

I always brake for turtles!!! This little sign made me SO happy!!!

MV 9

Nature is abound there on the island....gorgeous sunsets galore.

Oak Bluffs

Fishing off Menemsha Pier

We tried to take advantage of as much as well could, clamming, fishing, shopping, beaching, biking, napping....we lived like kings and queens.

MV 10

Our last day on the island brought us to a little tattoo parlor, where I got decorated with a pair of bluebird footprints... after my own little bluebird of happiness.

Sippin' a chai, waiting patiently....

Shortly after that, we boarded that ferry set for the mainland. It was a great vacation, relaxing and fun...full of sun, family, and lots of lovin'.

sum sum summatime!!

While Mommy slept off work today, Daddy and Grandpa took Avonlea out to play with H2Otis...her new sprinkler friend. (thanks Drina!)
She loved every second of it. God, I miss being a kid and running through sprinklers on the warmest of summer days!

(all photos are courtesy of J....who gets better at shooting every time he picks up my camera! I wish I had his natural talent!)

We are off to Martha's Vineyard for a week. In the meantime, I am missing lots of friend oriented activities, which makes me very very sad. Please know that I wish I could be there, and will be thinking of you all on your special days!

Don't get me wrong...I am super excited to be heading out to my husband's favorite place on the planet. Also, if I have to hear him mention clamming and eating lobsters one more time....

So, off to the vineyard! Where I am bringing ALL of my camera lenses/supplies. I can't wait to show you MV as I see it!!! MUAH!

Mirror, Mirror....

So, I got this new pretty camera strap for my baby. It's hard to make out...I tried very hard to get a good shot of it while J rushed the baby around the house before we left to run errands...

Pretty plum organza flowers on my girly little strap by Capturing Couture. I wasn't expecting this high quality of a strap, but is it really well made. Very secure, very well padded (to help with neck strain), and beautifully packaged. It even came with a free CD of a folk artist that I had never heard of. And, with a little glitch in their system, they accidentally only charged me for half of it...an added bonus! I'm in love.

Piggies in the Piggy

So, i squeezed my little piggy into some pigtails. and i just can't get over how BIG she looks with pigtails!
i totally just amped up the cuteness factor...watch out grandmas!!!

love it!!!

I loooove summer

Memorial Day started like this:

Grandpa took the babycakes overnight, letting adults have adult time....and then we packed up some beer, some food, and brought a picnic on over to their house. Along with my sister and in-laws.
It was amazing to have everyone at one house....all was right with the universe. All that food...all that sunshine...all that baby lovin'!!!
Here are some of my favorites from the day!

BONK!!

I love Erika's look, right before she realizes that Avonlea handed her a big, squirmy bug. :)

mmmm....life is good!
